Yes, a few times. It's a good event.  The Krugersdorp area has some nice hilly routes.

It's in aid of the West Rand Association for the Physically Disabled. Usually it's the same day as their annual fete, so plenty to eat and drink and good stalls to browse and buy. There's always a nice vibe at this race. (and it's for a good cause.) Please support it!

basically the same as D2D just go straight through Magalies instead of turning right

Strava says 905 but I don't know according to the profile the is no hump before the start of Hekpoort downhill according to them its flat, but I know there is one I got dropped there this weekend. But give or take a few meters, its around 900 and def less than the D2D.

But the end is looking interesting 35 km of gradual climbing followed by those two humps just before the finish will make for interesting racing.

Thanks for the info :)

Doing the 78. Seems to be tale of two halves. First half, predominately down and second half up.

Haven't done it before so should be interesting.

In the same boat as you. Going to give it a go as part of my 94.7 & Amashova prep and it's for a good cause.

well not a bad race I guess. Some hairy moments on the downhills. A taxi towing a trailer was overtaking on the other side of the road and one of the cyclists moved over the line forcing the taxin on the shoulder of the other side of the road....I backed off completely watching this unfold .... think the cyclists were lucky this time, maybe next time not so lucky....

then I lost a water bottle on one of the bumps and stopped so lost the group...and trudged the remaining 50 kays pretty much on my own.

events must provide water in sachets so that we don't have to stop. charge me extra for this luxury if need be.

Not a bad event , but does need more marshaling however being relatively small I guess its not really affordable.

Some serious hairy moments on the downhill. I know that a cyclist came off their bike coming down Hekpoort. Not sure how it happened but I hope and pray the guy is doing better.

The event is relatively small and I guess the guys are doing the best they can under the circumstances, however, I was struggling to get the logic of having a cycling event on roads with numerous signs stating "HIGH ACCIDENT ZONE".

I love the cause the race represents, but I am in two minds about riding this event again.
