How to go 25kmph........?

Recommended Posts

Are there anybody with training tips, on how to go as fast as 25kmph up Suikerbossie after already completing 80km's of the PnP Argus Cycle Tour route? Need to get revenge on those blokes that dropped me on that climb last year.

milky....find a hill that is similar to suikerbossie.....longer if possible but with the same gradient.  then you ride your heart out to the top after a long training ride.  take your time....then go down and do it again...and again.  you want to puke training like this but it helps....welcome to the hub

Mmm... I'm afraid milky will overtrain at this rate LOL

Make sure you do enough recovery rides...

Just find a 'fast' group to train with, so you have to put in that extra effort - its hard to punish yourself - just focus on their wheels and keep the vomit in Wink

TNT1 - I'm hoping by next year she will be...

Thanks for all the replies, but I think this sounds like the only option right now as training alone can be a bitch.

Hi Milky

I thought you were very tolerant getting a load of bs replies to a straightforward training question on the technical board.  I was a bit embarrassed that there wasn't much constructive said.

Maybe Jamis has something or someone else in the know will come through.

The basic advice I hear is train at what you're weak at but they don't hand out PhysEd degrees for that.

Good luck.
