TNT1 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I was thinking the same thing what a silly answer. Can I ask comeback boy what "Proffies" as you say are going to come back here that are in Europe? All 3 of them?? Or are there another 58 that are riding in Europe that we dont know about? Also get some form like everyone else and then race when the date is there cause I doubt CSA are going to say "sh*t comebackboy has no form lets wait till he does so we can have SA's" If the SA title and jersey was so important in Europe like you say then the "Proffies" would be here every year regardless trying to win it so they can wear it with their "Proffie" mates in races. Yip' date=' all 3 of them... must i maybe personally name all of them next time for you??Maybe Darren as well... or whats that other kid who rides for Collstrop?? But how many of our Europian riders come home for it?? It is very important to riders to where their countries national jersey. If you cant remember Rob always came home for SA's when he started riding pro in Europe!! What happend?? everyone was so sh*t scared of him that all our local teams ganged up against him just so that he does not win... THAT is why he does not come anymore!!! About myself liking it in June next year... are you daft or something?? I am saying that it suites ME better... i am not saying listen CSA, you must have SA's in June next year because that is when i want it!?!? Must read more carefully, you are making your name arse...[/quote'] You beat us all in that department already, twit. TNT12008-10-30 07:05:06
Seepglad Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Have it in March and you'll have double the turnout that you'll get in June. Road racing and training through a Cape winter always struck me as a dumb idea. April though is even better - a week or two after Cape Epic and I KNOW I'll be fit is the Road champs about a BIG turnout or a GREAT turnout?\\

(and the toothless whore turning tricks for Ostrich feathers in Oudtshoorn doesn't count)

Owen Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 March would be great but I dont think too many people will travel to Oudtshoorn.
TNT1 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 March would be great but I dont think too many people will travel to Oudtshoorn. Ya, the middle of winter is bad enough, but the real problem with SA's is the daft as mud venues the csa brains trust come up with...
butafly Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 why produce a calender for the new year if dates are going to changed at the whim of an administrator? why make a decision at csa congress if it can be changed? no wonder cycle racing in some provinces is such an abortion. it was decided to hold the nationals in June so leave it there. why such a big fuss about March???? the world fun ride champs are then, then its provincial track champs and then Nat track champs. Have a separate road and track season. get the provinces working to the same calender.
Wonder Woman Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Who ends up with the final say in this...it's been down that side of the world for three years now hasn't it??? Certainly Feb / March / Apr will be better as it is our racing season and everyone isn't overseas racing in Europe yet. Excluding the fact that everyone is then in racing form and no flu etc etc. So i'd definitely have to say March!!!!
butafly Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 The last time it was up north Gaut North took over the hosting from S Gaut at the last minute. it looks like Central Gaut don't want to or can't host the champs. remember racing takes place during normal waking hours not at 6 in the morning. March is just too hot all around the country and too windy at the coast during the day.
niterider Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 What's wrong with heat and wind? No-one said it must be easy
