So I have quite a few thorns in my tubless. Do I remove them and go for a spin round the block or just leave them as is and add  a bit more fluid?

Dont pull them out. When your tyre is worn out one day, you invert it, clean off the gob and count the number of thorns protruding on the inside.

Then put it all in a spreadsheet and calculate how much time and agony the sealant saved you.

Confession: I like to pull them out to test if the sealant is working. But I only do 1 thorn per tyre every time I clean it. It's my guilty pleasure! Embarrassed

All fine and well leaving them in, but what happens if you flat one day and need to put a tube in? You now need to sit and pull all the bu@@ers out before you can ride the tube...

Isn't this where one of those tubeless tyre repair kits comes in?

The tubless plugs can't repair all holes / cuts. And at some point using a tube is in the post.......
