What does "Excl works" mean?

It should be Ex works.....Meaning when it leaves the factory, it is completely built and ready to be used/installed after purchasing.

BTW, that housing looks very similar too my shower head in the showerWinkLOL

Looking sharp droo, good on ya mate! Clap

Have you decided on how many jimmy's, small gorilla's all these worthy customers are in for? Or are you planning to hand them out like sweets at a birthday party... LOL

@ Night Tider - thats my biggest issue at the mo. Look for spare cateye or topeak mounts, they seem to be the only ones I can get. Otherwise go hunting on CRC. They have plenty, but $$$$$$

@ mampara - it does say ex works. You had me thinking I was going mad. It means thats the price at the factory (in this case my garage) door, P&P excluded.

@ SD - I don't know your shower, but I can assure you that no ablution facilities were harmed in the making of this new toy of mine.

@ everyone - 3 gorillas is the magic number. Beamshots are busy being resized in between replying to posts and pm's, will be up by this arvi.

Catch you in a few...

Pretty much the same product as Brighter Lights, albeit, you have a smaller battery, and also Li-Ion. Do you supply the needed smart charger?

With the world of LED's being as it is, the products are very similar. We use the same emitters, cos they're the best you can get. I use a slightly different driver to BL, but it's made by the same guy. Again, it's the dog's danglies. Cheaper ones do exist, but don't have nearly as much functionality eg battery protection and temp sensing.

The only difference is the lens and the heatsinking. I have no idea what lens BL uses, but I have a wide beam (shown in beamshots) or a spot, which gives about 200m of throw but not much side spill so it sucks as a bar light. Very good for annoying motorists though... I can't comment on differences in anything else cos I don't have one of his lights to dismantle.

The battery is just a matter of preference. Mine weighs 240 grams and lasts 2 1/2 to 3 hours on full. Does just fine for me. If anyone wants a bigger one, I can get whatever you like - it just costs a bit more.

Oh, and the charger is supplied. Full charge in just over 3 hours.

Hope this answers your questions...

the lights work very good. build myself more or less the same light. three cree q5's with two dimm levels. use individual lenses and a buckpuck driver, it's basic but works fine. If you use a lithium battery you prefrebly need a driver with protection.

Bussy making another 5 for family and friends. It's really nice to have a good light to cycle with!!

droo if you come and ride in jonkershoek, let me know, will be very keen to join and compare lights.

Goodluck

Looks great!!!

We ( Lilo and I ) can do a demo for you at the 24hour race in Jan next year??! - Wiesenhof / WC

That would mean you would actually have to ride at night, which comes along after about 8 hours of riding. Think you can last that long? Tongue
