And I think Hamilton also has some white blood in him?

Funny thing that - all three "first blacks" are not black' date=' but coloured. They were not from a poor upbringing in an oppressed country, but probably had better ubringing than most whites. Did they do the "struggle" thing? I don't think so! Now they are being hailed as "The new hope" for the world to change?

Sias, welcome to the world of constructive relativism.  They black because they look black to pasty white Europeans.  Hell I know AWB supporting AFrikaners that were born blacker.  They are black because the claim the label that the world gives them.  Black makes them stand out, black gives others a sense of identity.  They are black because their oppressors only "advantage" over them is  that they have a white skin.  They are black because it matters to someone else.  (Jesse Jackson is black because he is stoopid, and it is the only thing he can cling to for justification).

You call them coloured, but they are not.  Coloured is a dominantly South African label for a community of mixed races that include malay, Scottish, Dutch, German, Khoi san, Xhoa, Zulu, ext ext, that were not "black" or uneducated or poor enough to be classified "BlacK' at the end of the Anglo Boer war and in 1948 when they were removed from the voters role in the Cape and Natal.

So Kona,  who is really is black or are there any blacks then. From the other arguments it seems if one is poor and oppressed then they are black even though there skin colour appears white.

If your skin colour is black but you have not suffered oppression because of your colur then you are in actual fact not black.

As for good rapper, I am yet to see or hear one...

Daniel Craig wants the next James Bond to be black.

The actor - who has played the British spy in two instalments of the franchise - claims Barack Obama becoming the first African-American President of the United States has paved the way for a black Bond.

He said: "I'm a real fan of Obama because I like his political ideas. And I think it's the right moment for a black James Bond. If we can have a black US President, I think we might have reached the moment for a new kind of 007.

Nope they will all be stolen by his cousins and he will strike for better working conditions and the union will sue M for having him work in unsafe working conditions.

nedrider welcome to the murky world of political constructive relativism.  It all starts because there are people that think skin colour matters more than culture, upbring and education.

If you believe in evolution, all mankind as we know it originated from Africa and over the centuries have evolved to the climate conditions of the particular continent, the colder the climate the more white (pasty like brittish), the hotter the climate the more darker (aborigines, native north americans and south americans).

A spanner was thrown in the works when continents mixed and mingled.

Mamparra, my thoughts excactly! When the lighter races came back to Africa after 1000's of years, it looked excactly like when they left - dark, primitive and with f-all change or development. Why is that?

Good point, however countries in Africa above sub Saharan Africa e.g Egypt were light years ahead of Europe in many ways for a long time. Neccisity and circumstances such as restricted limited food and land resources forced Europe to speed up.

Sub Sahara had plenty of food, land etc so they did not have the same need to "civilize " themselves. Take a simple thing like bow and arrow, North/South American Indian when discovered were still using wooden tipped arrow's, Africa had already discovered iron and were using iron tipped.
