How many of you guys have been using the SA Weatherburo Website - www.weathersa.co.za? They are busy upgrading the site but the new website in my opinion is all fancy but pretty useless.  I use to few the radar images and synoptic charts on a regular basis but it seems they will not have this information available on the new website.

How do you guys find the new site?

Agree, I used the original quite regularly, and now I have to reregister with the new site and it's not even user friendly. Change is not always for the better!

Yeah' date=' also thought it was pretty crap but I've since figured out have to use it and find it quite nice now:-P[/quote']

The GUI is not that bad, but the Synoptic charts and the radar images are not available.  I use the radar images on a regular basis.  Nice early warning system.

who cares... The weather peeps all fib anyway... Wink

Was only true when Riaan Craywagen was around

But using their weather predictions and looking at the data yourself one can actually begin to make usefull predictions yourself.  With the new site you are dependant on only their predictions and they can give you all the data of what has happened.  Bit late for me though smiley36.gif

Ok, I've just checked it again now and they changed it from 0% chance of rain to 60% chance of rain since this morning... The 48hr and 7day forecast also don't correspond... it's sucks there for!<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I actually emailed the web developer of weathersa this morning and got a response almost immediately. Why not voice your opinions in writing....

I used to browse the site on my cell phone but now it uses up over 1 MB just loading the front page. They are apparently still working on the mobile version.
