Guys and gals, it's that time of the day. See ya on the roads tomorrow. Smile and wave.

For this going to Bela-Bela, enjoy and for five cents, drive carefully. Be safe out there and have a good race. I hope the Bulls win their clash and I am rooting for the Dehli Daredevils.

Have a great weekend all. Doing a bunker to go and try to finish the project.

On my rabbit food and chicken breast sans skin diet I guess there'll be non of that for me .........

Is this just a temp diet while you recover or is it going to be long-term?

I can't like rabbit food too much. Tastes like Epol these days and those pellets are very dry. Yuk.

Good luck at the doc this arvie. If you ride tomorrow' date=' please bring medical certificate to prove that you are G1K1 and have professional medical opinion stating you have a license to K@k off on the route tomorrow.

Just kidding mate. You need to recover properly. I don't want you to aggravate the surgery by injuring yourself.

Prudence is often the better part of valour (or so I'm told.)

It is my suggested 'future' diet. Occasional deviation is allowed ............

The doc he said 'gaan ry boet, dit kan jou nie seer maak nie'! So I went for a short MTB ride this afternoon and all good.

See y'all tomorrow at RightFly! LittleBen says he's coming along but we'll see if he gets out of bed ......

Had to get all the cobwebs off, fix a puncture (had to replace the tube cause it was so perished) on the roadie thing hanging in the corner of the garage. Hope the tyres are ok for 45k's ...........

Haha... sounds a bit like when I hauled the road bike out not so long ago BB. The tyres had perished and the handlebar tape had started unravelling and it was full of cobwebs.  Needless to say, I paid Alex at Northcliff to make it look as good as new 24 hours later smiley2.gif

Nowadays I only leave it long enough for the tyres to go flat.

Just pumped them now for tomorrows ride

Oh and as a special favour to my roadie friends, I remove my peak from my helmet and wipe the old mud off smiley36.gif

Just heard that Dellboy will be joining us tomorrow, including LittleBen that means a bakers dozen and then some .......

Nance I guess camelbacks, baggies and camo kit is not on tomorrow?

The more the merrier smiley2.gif and camelbacks are 100% A-OK! baggies and cammo kit could work if it helps to hide away from the ice bears smiley36.gif

See you guys/gals tomorrow morning!

could not have asked for a better first ride after my stitches were out

Thanks guys and girls, great company and a 'few' good fast dashes to test that all is in working order.

Slave that boy of yours put me under pressure a few times. You need to nurture that!

Thanks Dellboy that picture will have pride of place in my study. Gotta reposses those Asso di Fiori shirts from the motorized biker ...... Me and the big Bulls supporter make a good team! BigBen2009-05-23 06:35:15

So ok , the results not official yet(so cannot tell you how the bunch kicked my butt yet), but my gadgets tell me I rode the BB in 2:24, it wasnt exactly 95 k's (93.27??), at an ave of 38.7, @ ave HR of 157 (85% of max).

Hard work for me, but my best ave HR, so I guess I can say I'm getting a little stronger now..............

Next race will be an 80 k at Stonehaven on 7 June. Any takers?

You came Top Ten in BL - and they were motoring, so I'd say that was a pretty good result.

Thanks JoeL, I must say after the results came out I also felt good about it.

Didnt ride yesterday and was too lazy to get up this morning, although had put everything last night out to ride this am. Now not feeling too happy with myself though.

Nancy I think you should start doing more roadie stuff.

Have you never heard of MiniMe ?

One difference is that I was way naughtier than him.

In the mean time email me 3 months bank statements of your account, just want to make sure you can afford him.

What a ride this weekend.

Special bonuses like meeting other hubbers for the first time:

Delgodo smiley4.gif Delboy smiley4.gif What an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Hope you guys join us again. Loved those Colnagos. Beautiful bike. Eish, when I grow up I want one too.

BigBen smiley4.gif you got to see the farm gate just before she expired.

It was a very pleasant ride made more interesting by Mr. Bond (Joe Slow) who is not slow, I know I chased him for a bit. Sheer entertainment during and after. Gotta love that SOH.

WW, thanks for joining us and I now have to hang my head in shame. I got creamed on the steps. First fell off trying to hang onto BB's wheel and then got dropped by WW flying up those steps. Hurt more than my legs I tell you, of word of lie.

Kids kid seems to have found some speed and he can go well. (Yeah BB, teeny lived up to his othe psuedonym (Breezer.) I heard, many times how he kicked it up the steps after you and how long you waited for us.

Oxman, the co-pilot did well dude. Whats this Mrs. Ox Stuff. Is something happening that I am not aware of?

My mate and his wife did not shape very well I'm afraid. Slow is not the word, but it was all good.

So to everyone who took the time, thanks, it was a great ride and I hope we can do it again someday soon. What a great bunch of riders of varying talent and speed and it all worke out well.

Yep, you all read right, the farm gate, she is terminally ill. Bottom bracket threads on the fram side are worn from my endeavours to keep going when I should perhaps have pulled out of the ride.

I went home and gave her some TLC (just for a change) and re did the whole dam thing (AGAIN). Then I went to meet the regular biunch of Suspects for a Sunday Am ride (They still kick off at 07h00). The BB started it's thing again and I had to abort my ride just as it started. Rode home feeling depressed and miserable, alomost riding over my lip several times.

At the start I saw GO, said he had a frame for me. Was this providence? Who knows? The man doesn't only ride a Prince. He is one. smiley32.gifsmiley32.gif

Phoned him to collect the frame and I now have a new bike, compliments of GOversiontwopointoh.

The frame is a little smaller than the farm gate but eish, she is so pretty. Spent the rest of yesterday looking for zips for our new brand of riding jackets and building my new ride.

Never got to doing my ride yesterday although it was planned, but today I am doing a 20k time trial to set the benchmark for future rides.

I am very heartsore about the peejou. We rode many miles together and despite my complaints about the poor old dear, she will be missed. RIP farm gate, we did kick a few asses together.
