It is impressive but we dit crazy stuff on out BMXs when I was 8-12 years old. The height of the drop-off or ramps were never a factor. If you broke something, on the bike or self, you were cool.

The problem is getting "parks" like this built. These things are all over Canada and the rest of  the first world.

 

Whatever you see (I can only speak for Western cape) built for MTB or BMX is the hard work of some local guys that dont want other peeps to know about or ride their spots. As Kidds like these tend to spread news of a new riding spot like wild fire. Next thing theres a hord of them at your spot, they destroy most of your carefully sculptured Pieces of art and then one of them gets hurt, his mom shows up and they get the place closed down. All of your time effort and joy gone.

 

I would love to have spots like this to ride, and I will even help build, but Not at the risk of it getting torn down or having to drive to the arse end of cape town because it must be avalable to Previously disadvantaged communitys....I am the previously disadvantaged guy in this story, as much as anyone...!

 

Why can capetown not have a park like this or like all of the parks springing up in the Gauteng area?

 

Im not talking of delvera(dirtopia) Im talking in and around town, theres loads of space, these things dont take up much space.

 

But Im affraid this is a loooong story...
