Not all service is bad in my experience.

Had a crack in a system6 last week sunday, contacted Cape Cycle Systems on Monday, sent a pic through Tuesday had confirmation of Frame replacement on Wednesday and frame was shipped up to JHB on Thursday, not one phone call just email. Very Impressive.

Well done Cannondale SA

I'm curious where were the cracks on the frame?  I haven't heard one of those cracking until now.  I'd have also thought Specialized would have given you better back up service, how long did it take for the frame to get shipped to them is the next question I guess.

?

Cracks run from the headset towards the seatpost. Bike was sent on Wednesday.Arrived Thursday and Friday I could have had an answer. But no. Angry

I am sorry to hear you are with out a bike and getting no where with this problem. I think your local bike shop should put pressure on Specialized to sort this out for you. Which shop are you dealing with? By the looks of it you spent some serious cash at this shop at least they should sort you out with something in the interim "A happy customer will all ways return". I am amazed that a lot of bike shops still don't understand or implement this basic policy smiley7.gif

OT good luck with spez dude it took them a year and a half to replace one of my friends Roubaix fork with the Zerts in it just because they dont carry the Zerts forks for warrantees!!!

why don't you contact Cycles Direct in CT ,they seem big into Specialised, maybe they've got some clout with supplier.

Hmmm not cool.  You might want to speak to Le Peleton directly and get the full story rather than getting a second hand one via your lbs.

There was a case of a Roubaix frame cracked a while ago. Lots of letters and e-mails (I think it was a hubber). After much publicity and e-mails it was replaced  -  e   v    e    n    t    u     a  l  l   y .......

Onetime, I think your attack must start asap, go to the wholesaler direct and to the top of the corprate ladder. Remember they are probably going on holiday soon.

I have never had any issue wiht the guys. I have have had 2 bikes replaced by them over the years. never a problem. the last time the bike had to go to the states as they wanted to see it over there. I was without a bike for about 8 weeks. Did it bother me, no I just got ou on the mtb bike. Why not try that for a while onetime.. Will get rid of some of your frustrations.

My riding buddie's MTB frame cracked recently. Dealed with Victor from Two Wheels Trading direct. Only had to send some photos and a brief description of what happened. Replacement rear tri was sent from the US the same day I got in touch with him. Postal services took their time, but when the tri arrived in PE is was re-packed and sent off to CT. Received a phonecall at 3pm and it arrived at my place the next morning at 9:10

Now that's great service!

Sorry to hear about your bike and the freaking frustrating wait OneTime.

One-time, I can only wish you luck and lots of patience. I battled with Specialized RSA (Eddie) for 4 months to sort out a cracked frame. Eventually I had to go to their warehouse and take a previous year frame - just to get something back

I cannot believe that they still deliver bad service in this day and age of the internet and THE HUB !

This sort of publicity is not good and any inclination I had of buying a Specialized has gone down the drain!
