Dear Cyclist

Please allow me to humbly apologise on behalf of my girlfriend on Sunday morning. She was not aware that her solo training route was not allowed to coincidence with the tail end of yesterday?s PPA race. I recognize that overtaking riders riding slower than oneself is a serious offence' date=' and I can see how you were entirely justified in telling her three times to a) ?f*ck off?, b) ?f*ck off home? and c) ?f*ck off? again.

Perhaps above all, I apologise for the fact that my 17 year girlfriend who has been riding for no more than two months was able to set a faster pace (into a gale force head wind) than you were.

I hope we meet some day so I can have the pleasure of driving my big chainring down your throat.

Regards
Chris[/quote']

Nice one Chris

I've been told by a few ladies to F off in my time.

It was usually because I was holding onto their legs and begging them not to leave...

Swearing at a lady like that...thats just pathetic.

I know what that feels like....not only did an a$$ told me about 15 x to f...off yesterday because I told him if you didn't legitimately entered the race, go play at the back....don't mess it up for me...Ouch

and better yet....a few months ago a person that I have known for years, told me one Saturday morning at a coffee shop to f....off in the presence of many other friends, because we didn't agee about how the coffee shop applied the smoking laws....and till this day not even an appology from this guy either....only insults from accross the road Shocked

Now I'm also wondering being on the receiving end of many f....off's in recent time....one on earth do you justify speaking to a female like that....AngryAngryAngry

Dear Poison, Happy new year to you and Orca.

May I please set the record straight.

We had a bit of a heated discussion regarding your fanatic attitude towards smoking in a SMOKING ZONE as well as your agressive attitude to all and sundry that would allow each to thier own, instead of trying to get them to conform to your rules.

It is unfortunate that you clearly misunderstood what I said and only wanted to hear what you wanted to.

I have addressed tis issue on one or two other threads before.

But to ONCE AGAIN clarify what I said here it is again.

in response to your ranting (OK maybe this was just me being to sensitive) I told you that if I were a stranger sitting peacefull drinking coffee early in the morning enjoying my sigarette, in one of the few remaining places that I may. (Outside in the smoking section of a restautant/coffeeshop) and some ranting woman in lycra came storming up to me insisting that I put my sigarette out, and, and, and.

I would tell you to F*ck Off in no simple terms.

I was merley indicating the response that you would elicit from somene like myself.

If it is that you feel affronted by this so be it. But I was not cussing you merely enightning you. Maybe in retrospect, a bit too forcefully, but if you are going to dish it out you need to be able to take what comes you way.

Cheers and may peace be apon you sister.

Is it just me or does it seem that the use of the 'F' word has become acceptable (amongst others) in normal conversation?

I would consider it extremely rude to swear in front of (God forbid at!) ladies (or anyone else for that matter) as taught by my parents but it seems their ideas are becoming outdated .... I would still give Lil'Ben a swift smack to the head if I ever heard him doing that (even at 18!).

But I guess ja that's just me ......
