Summit Cycles in Midrand went above and beyond to build and source parts for this beaut, my new SSR Steel Niner MCR! Thanks Dangle for a great build, great advise and super service my friend :thumbup:

 

Sweet ride man - love the new "old school" silver Ritchey stuff.

Scars – the original tattoo – invented by nature, perfected by SS bikes.

 

I've found SSers to be about as dangerous and "normal" bikes. Rigid forks, on the other hand, are an open invitation for gravity to rip you from your bike and slam you forcably to the ground. Evil things those rigid forks.

Kassiemier and myself did our first ever SS ride on Sunday at King's Kloof.

 

It went much better than we both expected, the bikes still need some fettling and finetuning, but all in all it was great fun!

I've cut the steerer since then, bought Ninerboy's Thomson layback seatpost and stem, and I'm thinking about some new brakes ....
