Mustache bars as in something like On-One Mary or Ragley Carnegies?

If so then contact Grant Usher at Singlespeed.co.za

He has stock of the Crarnegies

Similar but not quite what I'm looking for...

Looks something like this:

Because of the look & apparent versatility...

My nephews bike is like that drives my sister mad, as he put a hole in his jeans the other day when he sat back too far. Lucky it was just his jeans he got caught.............

I never have a problem with sitting to far back, I just know were to sit so it never catches my pants, and I need it that height as I clamp the seat when i am doing barspins

Hi guys

I have a NINER Air 9Carbon, and ABSOLUTELY in love with my bike.

The EBB gave me grey hair, in the sense that it creaked and slipped.

The maintenance on this killed me, as I needed to re tighten after every ride.

Now, I got tired of the hassle, and after some hours of research, I made contact with some guys in the US.

Received my new Bushnell ebb last week, fitted with a shim (for the niner's shell diameter) and a weeks care free, creak free, adjustment free riding.

They have 2 models. I opted for the "retro" older one, as then the expanding force pushes out along the full shell vs the full EBB circumference, vs just the "shoulders" of the skeletonised "featherweight" ebb option.

Loving it, and now I have a TRULY "maintenance free" bike in my SS.

Happy hooping

PS, I had the Niner EBB, and tried all 9 different methods of fitting, the carbo-grip option, the carbon assembly paste option, the plumbers tape option (this one, I got an even thicker plumbers-tape, and that was the closest I got to a slip and creak free EBB

Trial and error made me a single speed expert...well with road bikes anyway.

Don't waste your time with 3/32 or 9-speed stuff if you using a spring loaded chain tensioner.

I built my bike with 49 - 16 gearing to keep up with the fast groups. Loving it.....post-43832-0-00727800-1369752635_thumb.jpg

Hi there. First post here. I wouldn't consider myself a cyclist, but I love browsing this site and ogling everyone’s machines. So I decided to build my own single speed – partly because I like the no-nonsense simplicity and partly because I liked the idea of a project.

I bought a mid-80’s Le Jeune racer off Gumtree for R700, in a fair condition. Large frame – 59 or 60cm.

Frame was still good, brakes were usable (Shimano 105) and the wheels were also salvageable after some spoke replacement and a hub service. I took a grinder to the frame to remove unwanted appendages, and then had it powder coated at a place in Paarden Island (orange – I figured if you’re going retro, you might as well go the whole hog).

I ordered all the parts I needed from three online stores on ebay.co.uk. My wife had to go to London and could bring the parts back. These included Humpert Toulouse swept back bars, Charge Spoon saddle, Sturmey Archer crankset & chainring, Shimano rear cog, hub spacer set, bottom bracket, headset, old-school brake levers, brake cables, chain, Raleigh pedals and handlebar tape. I ordered a set of cheapish 28mm road tyres through my local bike shop (I wanted something just a little chunkier than normal road tyres) and I’m quite pleased with them.

I'm running a 44/18 ratio, and it's pretty good for flat road commutes.

Anyway, so here she is.
