Who cares? I mean really. Anything you buy these days has bits and pieces made all over the world. What difference will it make other than to more than likely improve the consistency of quality and lower the prices?

who cares? nearly anyone who's ever owned a cannondale. two of the best bikes i've ever ridden were 'dales. i love my old f900.

Silly. Where it made wont influence that one bit. Ergo, who cares where it's made?

Oh, and for the record, I've also owned to Commondales before... And I don't care...

Yes they were nice bikes. I'll take a taiwanese or whatever built Pinarello over any dale made anywhere.

If somebody gives me the Pinarello for free, I would, too. If I had to pay for it myself, no chance! I think their whole business model is built on "if I pay this much, it has got to be good, no?" suckers.

Just think the Pinarello's are overpriced, not that they are bad bikes. But I suppose that is what branding is all about... Mega bucks for Oakleys with a plastic frame and plastic lenses, arm and a leg for a Giro or Bell helmet that is no more than a bit of polystyrene with a bit of plastic on.

Well said TNT1. My Spaz's are made by 5 year olds in Taiwan or something, quality's awesome, price is OK.

Cycling news had another interesting titbit:

"Dorel purchased Cannondale and Sugoi from Pegasus Partners for nearly US$200 million cash in early February 2008. Cannondale, an early pioneer of production aluminium bikes, began importing carbon frames from Taiwan in 2007"

So much for old carbon Made in the US of A frames!

Sometime ago I purchase a Santa Cruz Cameleon (after they moved their production to Taiwan). SC sent a card with the name and signature of the framebuilder attached to the frame only purchase. Guess what?, the framebuilder turned out to be an American living in Taiwan. Also - the head huncho of frame building with SC is a Taiwanese guy living in America!

So much for American handbuilt being any better or worse than other countries.
