Wendell, not sure who you are refering to but my personal problem is one of not enough time to ride.

 

I am sorry to admit that I havent ridden Rietvlei. I shall make the effort.

flowing singletrack: van galens yes!

 

and at groenkloof, you ride over that wooden bridgem you climb that piece of jeeptrack in the sun, and then you turn into singletrack again - theres a few steep turns, 'n small tree in the way, and then the singletrack is ever so slightly uphill, and the track is packed, no chance of a wheel washing out and you can peddle as hard as you can around those corners - man that is just pure pleasure!

which one, mother goose??? you gonna *have* to show me? not because I want to do it, of course, but the bike is not very good at resisting challenges.

you guys are talking about alot of single track in gauteng, can you please let us know where it is? i am keen to check out Rietvlei and van Gallens

There is some AWESOME singletrack in Tokai, but mixed feelings and 15 pages of heated debate about a 3m bridge... worth checking out and making your own mind up.

As the Jeep track starts there is a single track off to the right (I think it is a hiking path....) seriously rocky lungbuster. Very few make it all the way without walking. Great for training.
