I don't think I'll ever be able to be a down hill racer. OMW' date=' those bridge jumps....just watching it made me nervous[/quote']

WW, that is not downhill racing, just free riding. That is just for fun, not competition.

It's a combination of both aspects really, no? There were some serious downhill sections there.

Yes there are, but going downhill racing does not include all those tricky bits. Freeriding is about jumps and fun and downhill is to get to the bottom as fast as possible. You do not get the discipline "free riding" in a competition.

Freeriding is about jumps and fun.

I always thought Freeriding was riding around on bridges with no jumps & fun Wink. But OK I stand corrected.

Yeah i agree. You gotta know what you doing. They must have ridden that track several times! That drop on those narrow planks was also hectic!

Jeesh.. I was building something in the same "line" up in the forrest above bokaap last year, but many trees have fallen over across the path and I now need a "verkragsaag" (chainsaw) also I need more hands, we should do a building day, it wil be awsome if there could be a bit of proper singletrack right in the city bowl. but ya, Bridges, jumps and burms, Its about 30 seconds long at the moment and 700m.

Thats sweet, and incredibly well maintained, we can only hope and dream that some private land owner, perhaps of a large estate in Somerset West would allow something like that to be built.
