I've discovered spinning classes in the foul weather. It's not bike riding but it gives you quite a workout. The screamers are a bit much though' date=' I'm more of a suffer in silence kinda guy.... [/quote']

Eish.  Used to be a guy with a whistle at one of the spinning gyms I used to attend.

On more than one occassion he was very close to needing a proctologist to recover it...

whoop whoop brother... Dead

I am living proof.

Although it isn't confined to spinning.

One year on the SabieX there was also a guy with a whistle.

His teammate had only met him the day before the race, let's just say he willingly risked the Time Separation Penalties.

I was out at 4 and the mist was heavy - I have a moerse 700lumens light mounted on the helmet, needles to say I could not see much with the light bouncing off the mist. At one point I saw a bicycle light flickering in front of me, it was David Garret, I passed him and continued up the hill, the hill makes a split and I have to go right but I did not even see the split and only realized it a few meters on so had to back track. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The painted lines are also soooo freaking slippery when wet, almost lost it around one corner. About 30mins further into my ride I saw David again, he must've gotten lost in the mist:-P
