Helmet Cam for Downhill Riding??

where in South Africa can one buy a small shock/water proof video camera that can be mounted on a downhill helmet?

I bought the Oregon ATC 5K essentially for padling. It comes with a helmet mount. I have been very happy with it. I googled the make and model and found a local supplier around the corner.(GP) If you do not find one in your area give me a shout. (paid in the region of R3K for it)Dusty2009-07-11 05:38:20

I have heard the Oregon Scientific one is pretty decent.

 

Then again most of their stuff is!

Magus Visuals in Gardens, Cape Town rents out helmet cameras. Its about the size of lipstick. Fear Factor used their stuff

You can also try the Vholdr contour HD, was also looking at Oregon but did not like the image quality. This one looks great and much cheaper. Only thing is you need to order from overseas. You can have a look at clips where they had a comparison between 5 cameras.

Go on http://www.vholdr.com/contourhd/buy most places you can get this camera for $275, the web side above is a rip off with their prices.
