mogwaai Posted July 14, 2009 Share I'm not usually one to complain abouttiming ... a few minutes here and there is not a big deal and I'm notin the race to win it - just to enjoy the day and feel someself-satisfaction about finishing races, but I am very disappointedabout the manual timing system they had at the Walkerville. I had to physically disturb the timinglady who was merrily chatting away about her problems in life andwhatever else to her colleagues under the gazebo at the finish andshe nearly got a fright when I came in and bothered her to take mytime down. 16 minutes difference in my accuratecomputer time to my official time is something to complain about...and to top it all I was classified under the 60km VETERAN WOMAN! I would swap my goodie bag water bottlefor an accurate timing system any-day. scotty Posted July 14, 2009 Share My garmin packed up early in the race so i have no idea of accuracy but the manual timing seems a bit of a let down however it would also have driven the cost of entries up.
