But remember its Summer in UK so cycling is on the up - wait a few months and then the specials will be back. Give each purchase some thought, and then you have no reason to bitch and moan when the crap hits the fan, cos then you accepted the schlep before it even occured. But I'm not going to save R100 on a fork and then sit with issues if something goes wrong. Always remember: Buyer Beware and that includes local shops !!! Hog_ Posted July 20, 2009 Share I've ordered a few things off CRC, never had an issue. How much is an SLX wheelset over here? There it's R1200excl. You can build a Hope Pro II with really decent rims and DT Swiss spokes for under R3k. Plus they have stock of such a wide variety of stuff. I'm sorry, but the LBS can not compete with CRC. Christopher Brunsdon Posted July 20, 2009 Share The only reason why I'm biased on the whole CRC vs LBS debate (and I'm for the LBS) is that at the moment I can get all my goodies cheaper or at the same price locally vs CRC. The reason is that local suppliers are overstocked, they are seeing the need to compete against CRC, the rand is stronger and CWC + Sportsdirect have some very competitive deals - not to mention its Summer in the UK. Now when local stock levels begin to deplete, the rand goes for a loop and winter returns to the UK, I'm sure CRC will become very viable for me. At the end of the day I'm after the best deal !!!
