I-FELT-the-FORCE Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Gents... I am going to pack in and leave this ride. I did a nice 108km today, round half the peninsula. Rode out from Edgemead, over to Noordhoek famstall and back. I stopped on to of Chappies, said my farewell to Hout Bay and even shed a little tear. I think I was blessed today with perfect weather, warm, windless and little traffic. I say all the lovelies for the last time in Camps Bay, skipped a couple of heart beats along the promenade. I was just coming along the cycle lane and thought to myself, it simply cannot get better than that, the perfect day, my last ride in SA for a while and I rode it without leg and arm warmers . I dont want to ruin that....

(And if I may I'll join) The forecast is only for traces of rain and the wind appears to be minimal.....I'm keen to ride but know that there a bunch of wet weather pu$$y'$ on here, that melt at even the slightest drop of water . As of now; I'm wanting to go through tomorrow from Somereset West to VA Green Point for an 8am start. I only have the little red car Tankman, so if there's a better option I'll sub towards petrol. Otherwise if you and Rob go through together I can meet you on the N2 at the Shell Ultra city ? Let me know what you guys think ? I'm going out for lunch now and will check this thread later this afternoon for final confirmation of ride/riders?

I don't mind a little drizzle but I hated the back of Franschoek pass whilst being constantly blessed by pissing rain. Will drop in later to see what the verdict is. Otherwise doing Airbender's ride - ride from Wellington to get to him and then continue on his route. Will get some DRY (early morning fog) kilometres in.

I'm leaving S/West @ 7am......I'll be ready in the VA carpark for a 8am start.
