Anybody got something planned for Sunday. Looking for something 4hr+

If nothing planned, I'm thinking something Gordon' Bay-ish or something Hout Bay-ish

Lekker early start, prefably

I'm thinking of doing a lsd ride to Hermanus over the Holiday period. Anybody interested in joining me?

I will ride there, meet up with the Guv'ment who will drive there by car, and then spend the day there.

A ride out to Hermanus with the Guv'ments going by car sounds like a good idea - sure TinyK will agree

I'm starting to like you even more.  . Speak to the man, so we can arrange it.

We can always try and make it into the "year end function" we had last year at Willowbridge Dros :)

That sounds like a great plan.

Now to get the other chaps onboard. :D

I think a lot of guys are available between Christmas and New Years - there are lots of businesses closing then.

How about then? let us know ride spec and we can plan our lives around the ride?

We will have to let the weather / wind dictate to us, as to when. I'm in no mood to struggle for 130km into a howling SE  :D  :P . Will imagine it to be in the week between Christmas and New Years, as you suggested.

We will have to get going early (05h00 'ish). Have a lekker Brunch in Hermanus, and spend the rest of the day in leisure. Can you "mapmyride" a route for us, say starting at Mugg 'n Bean Durbanville!? Let's see if one of the other guys respond.

Building on the 'year's end' idea and considering the summer winds from the South East:

What about early lunch in Franschoek?

SCENARIO 1

D Ville > S West > Grabouw > Villiersdorp > Franschoek > EARLY LUNCH

SCENARIO 2

D Ville > Polkadraai > Helz > Franschoek Pass > Turn-around point @ Villiers Dam > Franschoek Pass > EARLY LUNCH

Can be considered, but I think we have been good enough all year. We deserve one windless day over the festive period, to do our long talked about ride to Hermanus.

The challenge is planning & scheduling ahead of time for those who are interested.

What makes Franschoek more feasible is that it reduces the influence the wind has on organising the ride.

I hear you, but eish... the coastal road to Hermanus, she's calling.......
