Ok guys, so I want to join you guys tomorrow for a cycle, where would I be meeting you guys and at what time? What route we doing?

PM G Man. Sounds like some of the guys are wimping out because they are afraid it might rain. :D

Plan was to do a endurance ride in preparation of the DC, starting and finishing in Paarl (there was talk of going over a Pass or two). This is with a DC team (of which I'm not part of, just going along for the training)

Plan is to meet in Paarl.

Paarl - Wellington - over Bainskloof - Towards Rawsonville (...... and then I got lost) - over Du Toit's Kloof - Paarl

Bout 115Km ride....

Some guys (one in particular) are wimping out because of the possibility of rain (even drizzle)... something like he is worried his white SIDI's are going to get wet....? I think it has to do with his blinding technique that he uses to get KOM points. White SIDI's don't reflect light in the rain....

Oh well, back to the topic. I don't wanna say yes, come, if it is an issue - was invited along by the G Man himself so PM him and see what he says.

Ciao

Just make sure that Bains Kloof is open, they are working on the road and last I heard it was due to open again in second half of Sept.

Thanks Mr Legs - but apparently it will be open for oneway traffic... there's only a small part (maybe 50m) where half the road is washed away...

I'm there like a bear...

This weather is starting to peeve me off now. Why can't the crappy weather be during the week and the good weather over the weekend?

Everytime I walk past the "cycling room" I hear sobs inside. Stood outside the door this morning and heard the "Red Rocket" moaning to herself that I do not love her anymore as I do not ride her as often,as long and as hard as before. :D :D :D

She is standing there in all her red, radiating splendour, tyres pumped, chain lubed, and frame gleaming in the light, all ready for me and all I can do is walk past her and run my fingers over her. O life is so cruel.....

HeartCoppi, how did you know?

udxcob, was dependant on a lift. As he decided not to go, I did not have a choice but to stay in bed, listening to the rain falling outside.

covie, do not make it worse than it is already.

I'm glad I stayed in.

Nevva laaiked a wet chamois, wheel spray up my nostrils, sideways rain slapping me cheeks and cold creaking knees...
