Airbender, SirK and myself did the Malmesbury, Voor Paardeberg loop this morning. From Malmesbury we were into a head/side wind all the way home. As we got closer home, the wind got stronger.

Was a nice workout, I did 130km for the day. Strangely, very few other cyclist on the road this morning.

Thanks for sharing the road with me, my two companions for the morning. See ya next weekend.

You passed our group before the turn-off to Paardeberg. Immediately recognized your shirt from your avatar :)

Oh, so you were the group that we had decided were too slow for us ;) We were considering joining your group to let us rest our legs a bit but alas, our approach was too fast and we passed as fast as we thought it....you guys at least had a few guys (and ladies) to help with the drafting in the wind - we sukkel'd especially going back towards D'ville

@Wannabe and Airbender - was a good ride. Next time we mustn't go out at such a high average speed - maybe the legs would have been better B)

Is a nice shirt hey!? Can't afford to cause trouble wearing that, people will be able to recognise me a mile away.

How did your ride go?

SirK, can only make you stronger. Must go out for a ride again tomorrow. <_<

I love going to the edge of my physical limitations, SirK. Where my legs feel like falling off and my head spins. So, every now and then.

It damn hurts and it is good for me.

Thanx for the companionship on this lekka tough ride. B)

Tankman, the "Andrag" group is leaving at 07h00 from cnr Old Oak/La Belle and Old Paarl.(at Andrag) Think I'm gonna join them. I plan to take it slow (we'll thats what I'm saying now, all depends how the legs feel in the morning.)

Anyone looking for a fairly relaxed ride tomorrow is welcome to join me.

Leaving corner Old Oak/Durban Rd at 7:00 to ride through to Stellenbosch via Kuilsriver and Polkadraai, then up Old Helz, down Helz and back via Bottelary.

Bu-u-u-ut windguru says that there may be rain tomorrow, so if the forecast worsens I prolly won't ride.

Ended up riding with the Andrag group. Went out via Bottelary, through Stellies, R44, turned around in Gordonsbay, came back through Kuilsrivier, Old Oak up back home.

Ride was quite relaxed (avg of just over 26km/h on predominantly flat roads)

Finished with 107km for the day. Legs was feeling surprisingly strong the whole ride (32GI maybe!?)

Not bad riding for the two days, just under 250km. :D

Is that the route we riding?

To think I have been riding with no bearings in my front Hub. I just felt it turned a little funny. Stopped on the way Home. Sorted. Ready to Rock n Roll.

How did it go out there?

The weather was wintery... I was working today and missed my iron horse.
