Make me an offer?

I have been to see Scott1's C40. It is really a stunning bike. Pity it's too small for me as it has a 13cm headtube. Top tube is about 55cm roughly. Gruppo is Chorus 9spd in a good condition. This would be an awesome addition to someones collection.

Dan

I am not sure if you are looking for retro ones similar to your pic or just looking for a practical solution...

Ron has retro ones.

or

There are a few brands that make clamp on bottle cage mounts... I got some Zefal ones from Westdene Cycles a while back for my Sachs CX..

Picked this up this afternoon. Can't find much info on the frame, parts are a mix of Campy, Shimano, Stronglight and other.

The Reynolds 531 sticker is original, the frame was resprayed by my brother sometime in the late 80's.

Info I can find in the web is that Bauer came out of Germany, where they were manufactured between 1911 and 1968.

Anybody have any insights?

Nice bike. There is one with 531 tubing on the web, also a track bike with a metal head badge with the same motif celebrating 50 years of Bauer bicycles dating this specific one to sometime in the 1960s. https://shop.cicli-berlinetta.de/product/weltmeister-bauer-531-track-frame-set/
