I'm sorry to steal your thunder Hypernorth.

I have a request for opinions please. My early 90' Pinarello Gavia is running on a set of beat up(read completely klapped) Mavic hoops with period 105 hubs(still lekker). I have a few randellas that I've been putting aside to replace them with something worthy. Is it a terrible disgrace to replace them with 2001/2/3 Mavic Cosmic elites? I like the idea of putting some saxxy fresh shoes on my old girl but the period items kind of make the bike special(to me anyway) I've searched for something to fill the gap in the classifieds but there's nada on here except a set of Rigida'.

Any advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Gumtree Eden area, mmmm, I must start looking.

Time Trial bike, but the fork has been replaced!

Or

They left it on the bike rack too long and the sun melted it!

Most TT bikes in 90's were made like that. Funny bikes was the term used commonly. Great find. What tubing does it have? Reynolds or Columbus? Both wheels look look the same size.

Cippo- it is Reynolds 531 or 531c. Will see the decal in full on Saturday. Can't wait to collect it! The wheels are the same because it doesn't have the original fork on.

Thanks to all the Hubbers who help me with this build, you know who you are.

Is that where all the Dura-Ace parts went to ?

Looks absolutely fantastic...well done
