It's emabarrassing to break down and not have a saddle bag with spares.Saddle bags are only emabarrassing if they start getting to large and rattle. My bag is small and it rattles. The only way you should have a rattle from a saddle bag on you road bike is if you have nothing but 2 small spanners in a empty saddle bag. scotty Posted August 13, 2009 Share I usually ride with a saddlebag containing 2 tubes, 2 bombs, tyre levers, quick link, small set of allen keys and presta/schraeder valve adaptor which is handy for numerous reasons.
