Thug Posted September 9, 2009 Share Indigo kid if you can please show me some facts on your rediculous statements on the USN products to back up your claims. Ive used USN for 10 years now and i can promise you they make only the highest of quality products and are constantly reformulating products to ensure the best quality. If you have any questions i challange you to prove me wrong. I work for USN and have the best available info at my disposal so any questions anybody has on our products or biogen feel free to ask. Would you care to disclose the names of flavourants and colourants that are used in most USN products? Just wondering as a vast number of commercially used flavourants and colourants are petroleum based i.e. not very good for you and many others are known to be carsonogenic. And as for acesulfame-K that is used in many of your products:Acesulfame K: What is the negative side? "The problems surrounding acesulfame K are based on the improper testing and lack of long-term studies. Acesulfame K does contain the carcinogen methylene chloride. Long-term exposure to methylene chloride can cause headaches' date=' depression, nausea, mental confusion, liver effects, kidney effects, visual disturbances, and cancer in humans." Interested to hear your reply, as you said you work for USN and should have the info?[/quote'] Interesting...... Doubt a reply will be forthcoming though. SwissVan Posted September 9, 2009 Share You are wasting R700 a month on useless suplements. You dont need any of those to "recover" What would you suggest one use for recovery then? Low Fat milk drinks, choose a flavour you like (Chocolates my favourite)Sliced biltong, try skip the obviously fatty bits.Any commercial ready mixed sports drink (powerade, energade or even normal coke etc...) Ok so the biltong might be expensive but you only need to eat a small amount after your ride. Marketing plays a huge role in the consumption of sports supplements, and each manufacturer will naturaly list various studies proving the benifets thereof. Commercial supplement products where not always available and yet athletes always managed to recover just fine eating naturaly. Basic requirements for recovery are water, carbohydrate, protein and rest.

Prins-USN Posted September 11, 2009 Share We often receive queries on our product quality, efficacy and formulations. This has been a recurring cycle of abuse from independent individuals who believe that they have a profound knowledge of the industry, the MCC regulations, GMP, product development, packaging and ultimately the delivery of the product to the end user. Comments that start with the phrase 'I have heard' bear little weight behind them. As they say, the proof is in the pudding, and if you have not used USN's range of product, you cannot judge it. For that matter, you cannot judge any brand if you have not used it. The 'universal mark' in the company's logo is symbolic of global scientific findings and the latest clinical research that inspires our scientists to produce state-of-the-art product formulations. Raw materials are sourced from around the world, and then mixed in pharmaceutical laboratories (Europe, Australia and South Africa) according to formulae developed by USN's global team of scientists. Underpinning the USN message is a concentration on ethics and honesty, so that consumers are properly educated about which products to use and how to use them. As a result, USN has very quickly built a loyal customer base, which inherently trusts the products to help them achieve their goals. At USN we aim to provide world class nutritional supplements with the highest possible quality. USN products are being manufactured according to stringent GMP and MCC regulations and therefore proactive steps are taken to ensure that our products are safe, pure, and effective. As part of this system, hundreds of laboratory tests are being performed on a monthly basis to ensure that ingredients used in products * Comply with suppliers' Certificates of Analyses * Comply with microbiological standards * Are pure and free from contaminants (including banned substances) In addition, independent SANAS Accredited Laboratory tests are performed on a monthly basis to ensure that the final USN products are in accordance with labelled quantities. We use independent laboratories to perform over 2000 tests per annum on raw materials and final product. Our qualified R&D team works closely with international pharmaceutical companies to ensure that: * Formulations are inspired by the latest research * Products meet all label claims * Product labelling adheres to the applicable Labelling Regulations We are stringent in our business, and we demand Certificates of Compliance (Analyses) form our raw material suppliers. In addition we have established working relationships with ESSNA (European Specialised Sports Nutrition Alliance), SAIDS (South African Institute for Drug Free Sport) as well as the University of the Free State to further assist us in product development and testing. We believe in going beyond what is expected of any player in this industry. Individuals who claim to have the product testing analysis sheets are more than welcome to enter into discussion with us. Our business is transparent, and we work diligently towards delivering a premium product to the end-user. None of our retail partners or the relative authorities who govern what we do would want to associate themselves with a brand or range of products that do not conform to the legislation around the industry. We remain the leader in sports nutrition in South Africa and a key player in Europe as a result of the effort we put into delivering a premium brand. Capricorn Posted September 13, 2009 Share USN,?In my, and a bunch of other folks experienced opinions. tastes crap. Evox in comparison is actually worthy of being consumable. ?As one person quite aptly remarked: it seemed USN spent most of the money on the outside.?As for compliance, a colleague of mine had a huge beef with USN with regard to a certain certification. The proof they provided was some really sketchy copy of a certificate issued in India. The colleagued followed up with local certification authorities, but they did not know of this indian body, indicating that there appeared not to be universality to the certification. Any queries as to when local certification (which makes sense to South Africans) was due, was met by the classic time buyer" we are looking into it".Horse manure. Obfuscation at best. Nonetheless. my colleague and bunch of his muscle mania buddies ditched the bitch and went to Evox. havent looked back. Nice to know that with the Evox smart carb shakes, you actually dont pick up weight consuming them, in comparision to the Diet Fuels, which is such a misnomer.Capricorn2009-09-13 13:51:

Mr Mulebar Posted September 14, 2009 Share Just read the last paragraph properly, could you please justify how USN is a key player in Europe? Having just come back from 6 years living in Europe I can say that I have never seen USN products there or heard anyone in the sports industry that I worked with there mention the brand.
