yellow versus rainbow

when you read many of the reports about cadel dumping the 'nearly man' moniker, most describe the rainbow jersey being the next best thing to the yellow jersey from the tour. if you were a pro cyclist, which would you prefer to win?

Not many people know what the stripes on the jerasey are ....but almost everyne knows what the yellow jersey is.I would go for Mellow yellow.

There's only one elite rainbow jersey every year, but potentialy lots of yellow TDF's ones.

You mean A yellow jersey like Cancellara won (and then lost) or THE yellow jersey, which Contador won?  BIG difference.  Wearing the yellow jersey for one day does not compare to the World Champ jersey, but winning the Tour (the REAL yellow jersey) is more important than the WC jersey. 

Case in point: Anyone remember Igor Astarloa???  Bet you remember who won the Yellow jersey in 2003...
