I want to know if that new TaperBore Technology is all that better and is the braking perfomance anybetter? Im looking at upgrading my XT`s (New Current ones) to the Elixir`s But wondering if im wasting my time and money....I want stronger, lighter brakes.... Anybody running those new XX brakes yet???
jugheaddave Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I had juicys on my previous anthem, not I have Elixir's on my new Anthem. Massive difference in performance! The E's are so much better and crisper than the J's!!

According to Avid, the power lies between the Js and the Codes (highest braking power), and the modulation is supposedly the best of the lot. I do need more more, and wont mind better modulation either. Cant wait really.? Therefore, quite interested in the feedback you get

splat Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Elixir CR's will probabaly be lighter, but apart from running a 180 rotor up front, I dont think you will get much more braking power. Traction on your tyres limits you there a bit...

Matchstix Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Riding elixers and modulation is awesome. found that the lever adjust on mine is not for people with big hands though, unless there is anotjer way you can set that.
