Breedts Nek Hub Ride

I just want to know were is the entrance to go and ride Breedt's Nek. We are going camping at Buffelspoort in January and I want to take a few friends there on a ride.

 

Where would the best place be for me to enter the route?

 

GPS map will help a million!! Thanx!!

Vivster it is a district road leading from one side of the mountain to the other... no real entrance like getting into SBR.

holy - bring your bike anyway - then i'll look after the kids at the top of the nek while you bomb down to the shebeen and back up

 

or you can take the trance down to the shebeen - i'll try to remove all the 24-hr mud before then

Unfortunately we don't have braai facilities for so many people.

 

As an alternative, I have arranged for boerewors rolls and colddrinks to be on sale after the ride.

Looks like it's going to be very hot.  Please bring sunblock and for those that are going over the mountain I would suggest that you carry cash to buy extra drinks at the shebeen. There is no-where to re-fill water bottles once you start climbing back up the mountain!

 

Also, for those that are going to hang around a bit afterwards, please bring camping chairs and umbrellas if you have.

I'm in if my leg quits being blue, I woke up with a mysterious blue leg this morning but starting to look better already.

 

Will ride there with Jules, Thug & JMaccelari! I reckon, put me down as a go!
