Sunlight dishwashing soap is mild enough and does not soften the seals on your bearings. Like I said, leave the bike to dry, brush off with a soft brush to remove the dirt. Face plants in water are good fun! My Dad did not see the enjoyment in it though. Ever tried to ride a bike at the bottom of a pool?
