Tubeless conversion , which one ?

From experience and not hearsay what is the better tubeless  option to go for , Stan?s no tubes or Joe?s.

 

And why ?

The best from experience is BigBen's ghetto version.

 

I use Stan's after reading of some delamination with some of the other products.

Out of those 2 I reckon the Stans strips are a slightly better quality than the Joes but hey no scientific basis just some experience with both types of conversions prior to now using ghetto exclusively!

How bout the stans yellow tape and a tubeless valve, or does that only work with stans rims ? Seems a lot scheaper, easier, hassle free and easy to remove when inserting a tube...

That will also work but not on all rims !

Have not heard too much about the local one and can?t seem to find much info on Ghetto.

Ghetto is something BigBen came up years ago . You will most probably only find reference to it on the Hub .

What would the criteria be for it to fit dirt ? And do you perhaps know if any of the shops in pta have it ?

I have done this on about 5 sets of wheels with absolutely no problems. I do the "skinny" version, where you cut the BMX tube into a thin strip, resembling a normal rim strip.
