I agree with the notion of avoiding steep hills for prolonged hill training: Find one with a fair grade and use gearing to make it harder. IMO rhythm is more important than brute force.

 

Anyone (apart from Cox) tried Tom Jenkins with a 53x11?

Frostie do you train in the sterkfontein area? We cycle around there every weekend and building a nice group at a good pace.

You guys should come and play over here with us in Taiwan !!! Here we have some STYL BULTE!! We can do Huhuanshan - It starts at about 300m above sea level and goes to 3500 in 55km. There is a break of about 400m where you are not climbing - the rest is just UP UP and UP again!!
