Hmm interesting thread

Can't we have a sticky/permanent post 'thingie' sort of like a LBS directory broken up in location, where CONSTANT feedback can be given, not have separate threads like this, which might get lost or have little impact on LBS ?

Soon the LBS will take of it i'm sure and try their best to keep negative feedback to a minimum ?

Do you want to tell me you know so little about your bike that you did not check for this before you took recipt of the bike...... shame on you ..... verrrry little sympathy from me.

The so called "extra items" that the LBS added' date=' were they items neccesary to make the bike function that you maybe forgot to commission....mmmmmm???????

Jis, you are rude....some people do know little about bikes....

ps. what is wrong with your ? on your keyboard?

Agree..... Big H comes across as rude and a bit agressive (have seen this on more than one occasion).....  My advice just ignore him - it worked for me Smile

I further agree with some of the others that the LBS should be named and then they can respond to the "alligations".  People always suggest that you should service your own bike but all of us don't know how to do everything and further don't have the time.  If a LBS provides a service for which I pay I have full right to complain if it is not 100%.  A service is provided which I choose to use or not - end of story.

Funny thing about my LBS... saw they are hubbers...LOL

Most shops are hubbers too, strange, but we have to keep our fingers on the pulse, who's bad mouthing who etc...

I like the idea of threads or something for different shops. We can then query the shops about stock, ask about services, give complaints and show appreciation.

It can only improve service and communication between the LBS and customer.

I have been having nothing but issues from every single bike shop i have been to, when I bought my new bike. From people not wanting to order my 2010 version cuz they insist i take their 2009 stock, to other shops (a very large store actually) ignoring my requests, until after the 5th email asking replied with a snobbish "we dont have that brand..." (that was the full reply, word for word) even though their site says they do. Then i finally managed to get someone to sell me a bike, then they first order the wrong one, then tell me my size doesnt exist... it does... man im dissapointed in our Local Bike Shops at the moment... took me three weeks just to buy a bike, and i knew what i wanted, had the cash, and it was a lot of cash too... ended up going for a completely different bike just because the shop i went to last had it for me 3 days before they said they would, and actually gave me service...

Why doesn't anyone want to name the LBS where thy received bad or good service. My feeling is if you don't want to give there name then you should not post it because then you don't have the cuts to face them.

That is just my view on it

Not every cycleshop has access to the Hub also these guys have a business to run so dont have the time. There are 2 sides to a story as previous hub stories have played out.
