Scanning through the race pics I?ve just realised once again how wonderful the Kremetart spirit is. Smiling faces by the hundreds.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> To all helpers: Thank you, thank you ??? Many club members, sponsors, local volunteers, companies, SAPS, Traffic officials, etc, etc, who came to the party in extravagant fashion. How about our Hot spots and Water points? Hats off to everybody who spent many hours to put the Kremetart together. To all disaster prophets: All went relatively well. Thank you for keeping us alert. There definitely were some major mishaps that we will attend to next year. Toilet facilities gross / unacceptableLong queues at feeding points disastrous????????????? Our first Kremetart 2008 meeting is taking place next week. Please let us know what other mishaps needs attention. We will appreciate any suggestions to improve the Kremetart experience. Guy in Pink: I've seen the lady out on the N1 on Sunday morning. Wonderful gesture to surprise her with bicycle as anniversary gift. Hendrik Petoors Posted June 17, 2007 Share In starting their first planning meeting so early I sincerely hope that the PR and advertising for this race will be scheduled correctly to ensure that the race shows growth. Nil growth can be construed as negative growth. I also hope they sort the issues regarding proffessional teams race out early enough this year and make a definitive statement regarding this. The Guy in Pink Posted June 17, 2007 Share It is strange I get a mention in this reflection after this comment from Wheelie: "Kan iemand nie in Ingils vir hom verduidelik dat hy nie meer betrokke is by die wedren." I was however involved in a minor way as I was asked by the official "Kremetart Organiser" (not Wheelbarrow) to assist, which I did, and of course I provided good and sufficient early warning of potential pitfalls. I have also provided the Kremetart Organiser information on what to do differently to grow race numbers. Said organiser informs me that I was spotted three times on the circuit on race day by a former club buddy! I will be back again and again....it is apity it is so close to Comrades as I am sure this depletes the numbers as well.I say stuff the pros if they dont want to ride who cares? Does it have to have "pro" participants,to make it a good race? Personally I think too many changes will have to be made to the current race format to satisfy UCI rules. Keep it like it is. Pinky came up with a winning formula. It would be sad to see the Kremetart become just another race. Call it a fun ride if you have to. Who cares? Easy they cannot be whatever they choose to be, they live and have to abide in a world dictated by CSA. Easy, jy stop by 'n stopstraat ne.... well ek hoop so, hoekom???? Want die wet se so, wie se wet. Die land se wette. Wel in fietsry stick jy maar by die UCI, CSA en GNC (julle kon mos nie julle eie Unie gestig kry nie, is dit dalk hoekom julle so halstarrig is?) se wette anners gaan hulle jou hard op die bek slaan, net soos daai spietkop jou sak sal slaan as jy nie stop nie.
