Anton.......

A word of advice. Be very carefull of who you get to ride for you. You need to have a code of conduct in place. Riders in SA have very little respect for sponsors.

Then you have the officials ................ hmmmmmmm.........

Good luck with your venture.

well what would it mean?

do you want to "create" your own team, full sponsorship, or would you sponsor individuals randomly, expecting them to advertise for you somehow eg. id ride for my club, but wear your companies shirt after every race

Hi Anton

as Owen said be carefull there are way too many people out there trying to milk sponsors for everything they can get and with little or no remuneration for the sponsor at the end of the day

code of conduct is a very important thing, Expectations, image and all factors of being involved with your company are vital to your success as a team

Teams thrive on honesty and exclusivity

Honesty: Every rider must be willing to make unconditional sacrifices to situations that arise in different instances while in public and out on the bike (swearing,Personal opinion and bad attitude are the three that come to mind)

Exclusivity: You are painting a very vague picture here with regards to what you expect and what you want to give back, Yes Sponsoring a few good riders is an awesome idea because Kids sitting in a bar as soon as they turn 18 is not an ideal situation

But you need to be specific about goals that you are setting for yourself and your riders

A brand ambassador situation works in the way that you have your outlines but there is no boundary as to which group in the industry you are targeting because you will have a few riders in every situation (A bunch, Elites, Ladies and vets for example)

I am not knocking your idea i just think there are a lot more issues to deal with before you get rid of your hard earned money to a bunch of youngsters that might put you in a situation that you do not want to be in

I hope my ideas help you a little bit

Have an awesome evening

Good to see someone trying to develop the sport.

A bit more info would help though.

Rough age range?

Are you looking for development riders or already established youngsters?

Once again, its good to see someone putting back into the sport.
