stewie911 Posted April 16, 2010 Share I have not weighed it yet, only the individual parts. Should be around 10.6kg. Wheels are not the lightest and kenda nevegals are 770g each. Only decided to go light weight after I had most of the parts. Not going to spend thousands for weight saving. Will upgrade to better parts if I rally need to. Ha Ha Kieran Posted April 17, 2010 Share Nice bike Astraut! What model is that?
andretraut Posted April 17, 2010 Share Hi Kieran, thanx for the compliment. It is a 2010 XC HFS 1000 D. Comes with a XT group, and Hayes brakes. I have changed the brakes to XT, with new imported XT rotors, pedals are CB Candies, and I am rolling on Vredestein Killer Bee's tubeless with a Stan's conversion. Almost the way I want it, just waiting on my XTR RD!

blockhouse Posted April 21, 2010 Share Did you have any issues purchasing on ebay, did you buy bike complete or just the frame, and what sort of extra charges did you incur??
warumund Posted April 22, 2010 Share Did you have any issues purchasing on ebay' date=' did you buy bike complete or just the frame, and what sort of extra charges did you incur??[/quote'] I purchased the complete bike. They shipped it in two boxes for about $250 for everything. It arrived in 8 days. Customs charged 10% of the sale price not including the shipping cost. I figure that's a good deal when VAT is 4% more. All in all, the bike ended up costing about half the price of any 29er single speed I could find here.
