In MTB you are far more prone to shifting problems due to dirt, etc which electonic shifting should theoretically avoid. techguy Posted February 17, 2010 Share The battery doesn't add that much, Besides which, Columbia Htc, Garmin Transitions and Team Sky are some of the few teams that have chosen the Di2 over the mechanicaldue to the reliability... However, with official Shimano satellite controld for Di2 now available, Di3 XTR is on the way.
