is how ppl sell brand new, just about never used bikes/frames/parts/wheels.

I dont know aboutt the rest of you, but I carefully think/decide about it beforehand, and even then some before i buy a new bike... and i would make very sure the frame is the right size before I buy it.

so is the "brand new, 2 rides only" type reason given a pull wool over the eyes like "it was only driven by my granny on a sunday afternoon" ploy?

Are they trying to pull a fast one by taking a 5k knock on a new frame that they bought for 20k, and now selling for 15 k because it is "too small/big/pink/green" or whatever, since they actually bought it for less than 15K?

I know there are ligitimate sellers, that suddenly run into financial difficulties, but it seems there are more than  can be accounted for or otherwise ppl really buy on the spur of the moment.

please enlighten me....!!! especially if you are/were one of the sellers!

some of the sellers work for (or are) bicycle shops. If the bike is a demo, then it would be cycled around the parking lot a few times, or loaned out for a training ride. Such bikes gather dust in the shop and need to be moved before new stock arrives.

Also some guys buy bikes they don't need, realise that the fashion has hanged and flog the thing. (in my dreams).

Lastly, when a new model comes out there is an artificial price spike which encourage some speculators to buy a few in hope of turning a profit.

Or else like some dumb people we get sold on a good deal and then realise that even though our LBS might love riding those wheels I just don't like them even though they are a good set of wheelsEmbarrassed

So, my Dura Ace wheels are still up for sale and I am willing to drop the price to R4000 - R4500.

Or if you're a beginner what happens is Cajee's staff who don't know nothing about bicycle sizing sells you a 58, (you're riding a 52), and you need to get rid of it.AngryAngryAngry Took a R2k loss on that!! Oh, no R6k , because then I bought a Giant OCr for R4.7 ... oh, who is Cajees???
