Do they exist!?

I am currently sitting on the side of the west coast road with a punycture. Pinched my spare and now waiting for my wife to fetch me.

Was passed by some roadies, one guy riding a liquigas colored cannondale and a lady rider. They both did not even look at me and once a shouted for helped he just stood up on his bike, looked at me and rode on.

What a sorry sight. Can we be so obsessed with ourselves that we can even do the very basics pf helping someone in need.

I am ashamed to be a roadie today. Ive dome a couple of mtb rides and never does another rider just ride pass someone in need. I am disgusted.

Shame on them bra. Can't believe people are like that.  If it was a dodgy area and you looked suspicious then I can understand.

I always ask if someone needs help when I pass them standing on the side of the road.

It's sad that we have become so selfsentric. (is that the word) Sickness of SA. Everyone to himself and bugger the rest.

Very sad story but I have to add that this migt be the first time ever I have heard of a roadie riding past another roadie without concern whether they ok or not. I do feel your anger and shame but maybe, just maybe they were having a real hard time in these windy conditions we have today and though "not today really not today"

just a though

If your town is filled with less helpfull riders, also get some Park glueless patches for your saddle bag. Also easy to hand out to other riders in distress.

I train on my own a lot, carry 2 tubes, 2 boms, said patch kit, valve adapter. Still looking for the right multi tool that has a chain tool in.

Point taken about the looks. I know I am no oil painting....

Morpheus - Cell phones are amazing things, you can even go onto the internet with them.

My wife brought me a spare wheel and 1km before home I brake a spoke as well. Just a bad day I guess.

I always help and have given many tubes away. So kharma dont always work.
