Today was my second race of more than 40km. After about 40km I thought what a nice semi flat fast race. Then the sh!t started. Got my famous backpain that left me walking a bit and stretching and suffering and ...

So when my speedometer said about 4km left I thought almost done as I went downhill.

Then wtf... Hills with more hills. Couldn't ride anymore, so I pushed the bike for probably 12min

Finished the race with my computer saying 84.5km in 4:21

Was moerse rof

Why does cyclist always arrive at a race with sh*t on board?

Cause you gotta eat before the race and you can't leave *it* in the car.

Die Lionman sien my nie weer nie. Net 4 "bloubussies" by die start. NET 4!!! En ek wens batch starts wil 'n pynlike dood sterf!!! Veral by events met die tipe kapasiteit!

Mj oor en uit!

Wat is fout met batch starts? Die 84km het net een batch gehad smiley2.gif

My race went pretty well for the first 10km. Then some guy in front of me osvershot the turn and braked and swerved right in front of me. When all the sh.it and dust had settled my right shoulder was dislocated and my whole right side was full of bruises. The guy did'nt even know I went down. Now, as for MTB'ers being a caring bunch - **** that!! Only one guy from all the 80km stopped and tried to help me get up. Thank you, whoever you were. To the rest - ****you very much!

Luckily this happened about 200m from the first KFC waterpoint and those guys were wonderful and supportive till the medic could come and give me some morphine. After the morphine kicked in I wanted to ride the course backwards on one wheel...

I'm now bookd off for a week...

Probably the best race so far this year for me, really enjoyed it  & it had a bit of everything in it to keep you wanting more.

I will be back next year  Thumbs%20Up

Race went well, exept for the nice uphill close to the end, @?$%& that was a killer! Not a lot of singletrack though..

Anybody know who did the photos?
