Hmmmmmm, ok...Reba Race for the simply reason that it's sturdy, light and costs minimal to service versus the Fox which I believe which is quiet expensive

I'm currently building up a Raleigh RDS 9.0 to replace my hard tail. I have the frame (thanks to Mtb Kid) which I need to put a fork to. The Raleigh was specced with the Fox F100 RL which is out of my price range (R3500 to R4000).

Any other ideas? I was thinking Rockshox Reba Race or SL' date=' Manitou Black. Good forks, bad forks? A fork I haven't listed?

Please help.

Thanks for all the advice guys. My budget is R3500 to R4000 which leaves out the Maverick, Fox, etc. I'm undecided between the Reba Race and the Manitou R7. The Reba is slightly heavier at 1.6kg (R7 is 1.4kg), but I'm looking for more allround use than pure xc race.

Is there anything in the above price range that I should consider?

Hi Flippa, I have an 06 Fox F100X White, still in excellent condition, hardly used - R 3500. PM me if you interested .... you should have taken it with the frame!

I just got a 2007 Reba Team. Only set to 85mm travel at the moment, but by next week it will have the full 115. There is very little flex in it and even at 85, it's handled some pretty big drops with ease. As a XC fork it is better than any of Fox's products priced at over 1000 bucks more.
