I think AC will come out and prove everyone wrong again....he is the best at the moment.

Lance had a lot to say about how AC will lose time on the cobbles.......was the other way round.

His team was criticized that it was not strong enough......I think they've proved that wrong.

Last year AC survived all the infighting created by LA and came out n top.

This year will be the same (I hope) He is the best current tour rider and deserves some respect for that.

I think the boo-ing is more of a bad sportsman than racing to win. If Andy is so much better than AC, then whats the big worry. He'll easily take back the 8 seconds and more.

Um If I recall after Ullrich waited for Lance, Lance attacked that same stage - so at least the pro's have learn't from mistakes of other pro's - don't kick a gift horse in the mouth!

But Andy started a poker game yesterday - he admitted to that! Possible a stupid poker player as he may have ridden himself into 3rd on GC by the end of the tour as the riders who made time on him yesterday can TT well!

Today he was the Big blind - and yes was dealt a **** hand but you cant win all hands at poker - he did will to stay the 2nd highest stack at the final table

Looking at the guys Contador was with at the top of the climb and considering he was not doing match sprinting tactics with Andy HE did WAIT but could not let the other go! Think about that guys. He certainly did not do all the driving down the climb!

Hey the "final table" are known to be worse on climbs as Contador!

What did Andy teammate Spartikus say about cobbles and crashing? Well believe me you expect riders to get dropped on climbs like that!

And all the chicks in the world will make this their slogan from now on.

Alas, yes it's racing and if Schleck wants the win bad enough he needs to come out and fight.

He will....Wednesday's going to be farking war!! ;) .....tomorrow Lance wins... :o

Not true! Contador was dropped on the cobbles and lost time. Lance had a flat and lost time in the end, but he was a minute ahead of Contador at the time.

Contador was wrong to attack and should have waited. I hope Andy makes up the time tomorrow.

Lance needs to try something soon. He's been resting for 2 weeks. Dunno how much rest he needs.

Even the rest of the team have been like passengers most of the race. Yes they did get a stage win, but before the tour they were saying how much better they are as a team compared to all the others, especially Astana, coz they've got 3 potential winners in Lance, Levi and Kloden.

With this showing no wonder they weren't invited to the Vuelta.

I vote they shoul've included Impey in the team :)

At the start of the stage LA had about 15 seconds on AC. They both punctured during the stage. In the end LA lost about 2 minutes and AC 1 minute, so LA was a minute behind AC after the stage.

I also hope Andy tries to make up time else the stage could end up being boring.

Andy Schleck – “What happened happens…”

From the moment that Andy Schleck dropped his chain, until he started riding again after his attack on the Port de Bales it was 28 seconds. At the finish, he lost 39 to Alberto Contador who is the new leader of the Tour de France. Andy is angry but he could also give lessons in how to be forgiving…

“Now I’m really angry. I will ride on the Tourmalet until I fall from my bike and give everything to this race.

“I felt really good but what counted at the end of the day is the time that you have when you arrive at the finish and I was so far back even with what I did on the descent.

“I promised my brother this morning that I wouldn’t take any risk on the downhill but I think I went down pretty fast... for me, let me put it that way. I didn’t want to lose too much time.

“Things happen, and everything happens for a reason. People can say what they want but they also have realize that Alberto was one of the guys who waited for me in Spa and that was really a great sign of fair play. Chapeau! Today was a different story, a different scenario but the Tour is not finished.

[Question: Andy, you seem so calm. You speak really relaxed but are you not mad with your bike or at anyone – maybe with Alberto?]

“What happened, happens. I cannot change the situation even if I’m mad. Of course I wouldn’t have minded to throw my bike into the fence and just hit someone but you’ve got to keep yourself under control in situations like this. If you just stay calm it’s worthwhile. If yell at people, it won’t change the situation. It is how it is. I’m not crying behind my jersey. In the end it comes down to the fact that this is a bike race and we will make the final count. I’m not done with.”
