I certainly did age during this ride, but I still have no grey hairs yet. Don't worry - I followed a guy who I thought was my partner for 10 minutes, before my partner came up from behind to ask me how I was doing.

Dicky DQ Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I believe, heresay again, MC and Hanlie missed checkpoint 3 and were DQ'd. I believe they would have won the Mixed if it were not for this. MC moaned about the fact that that CP 2 and 3 were so close together and CP 3 was so poorly marked. They also believed that they lost more time than they would have possibly gained as they had to stop and look for water and missed one of the main feed zones.Further to this they came in an unpfficial 3rd and beat the previous record by about 10 mins.No matter that they were DQ'd, that is an awsome feat for a mixed team.PS, I don't think they will ever do this race as a race again due to the problems. Let's face it you have to look after your sponsers or not??
