Okay all you mechanics out there, I need two 17mm wrenches to work with my PowerTap hub - the locknuts are 17mm but the wrench has to be quite narrow to get between the spacers.

Normal spanners are too wide - so, where is the best place to get these?

Or just go to any bikeshop. What you need is normal cone spanners.

Was at Cyclelab and could only find up to 16mm, so I thought maybe the PT cones are a different size.

Bruce' date=' my new PT hub has developed a small bit of left/right play, like a wheel that needs the cones tightened.

Have you got the same problem?

Yes, have had this a number of times.  My main problem now is that I can't tighten it properly 'cos I don't have the right tools.  And I'm certainly not going to take a monkey wrench to an R11k hub Ouch

Bruce, I have a set of the Park tools spanners (17 & 18mm). You are welcome to borrow them until you can find some.

I am in Bryanston.

P.M me if you want to come around.

Thanks IanJ!!  I will be looking around the bike shops tomorrow morning and will hopefully come right - if not I will definitely give you a shout, I work in Bryanston so I'm pretty close.
