Thug Posted September 3, 2007 Share I was almost 2 minutes slower on the second lap. I got caught on the single track behind slower riders on the second lap and virtually had to muscle my way through the crowds contemplating the drop off as well. haha, I shouted to them "rider coming through and yes , it is rideable" before I went down it and vanished in the tunnel. It is not a particular achievement to finish any fun ride. Are medalsnot supposed to be for an achievement? Do all the finishers at theolympics get a medal? As far as I know medals are for the first three. And then people complain if there is no medal or if they do not like the medal offered??? Best medal I got at one of the funrides is a bottle opener! Personally I never take a medal at the fun rides. I have made enoughkey rings out of the medals that I did keep to last me a life time -you only have so many keys. What am I suppose to do with the rest? Display in my "medal case" to show off my achievements? I ride my bike because I enjoy it. Not to get a medal...
