Outsurance Argus Entry

Pray tell - why do I need to fill out some Outsurance thing on wanting to be contacted for a quote in order to complete my entry for the Argus ???

 

Why ? Its nonsense to have to be forced to fill out some marketting info. Its plain rubbish. Yes its only one click - but there is a principle here of forcing me to do something in completing an entry!

Its an issue, because I am forced into the marketting blurb before being allowed to carry on.

Just tel them you are really interested in a quote and they must hold on. then you put them on hold for an hour.

guess what, their marketing worked and they are being marketed right now, although negative! (delete the thread and stop the marketing )

 

Solwbee they did ask you if you wanted to complete the form, it was your choice to do so.

 

In the same light the T-shirts, Caps, Clothing and all that goodies were also forced upon you, dont see you complaining about that? Or did you buy ALL the items on offer?

Seriously this is the interweb, every page that you click on is covered in ads, surely you just ignor them and move on. I think outsurance needs a bit of a break after their campaign with that rugby player who can't catch a ball

I fully agree with you, why should we click ANYTHING....it should not be on the site...If I want a quote I will look them up and ASK for it.

 

The main problem is that to many people in SA just accept stuff...

 

They ACCEPT bad driving if it is a Taxi, they accept that web pages should be covered in ads.

 

They ACCEPT bad customer service....etc

NOT the same, the T-shirts etc are part of the Argus, not marketing some other service....

How is the T-shirts part of the Argus? You can still ride it without one of their T-Shirts or caps. It is just another avenue for Pick-n-Pay to increase profit.

Thats the thing FF, during the entry process I had no choice. I had to click on something to be able to process my payment. Thats just not right.

 

Tankman - I will say this. I was very close to cancelling my entry, and telling the argus team to go shove it. I dont pay alot of money to enter something to be spammed in the entry process with Outsurance

I agree SlowB. The argus registration and expo is one big in your face marketing excecise.
