I dont know what this craze is for low and wide bars: check the rise on that Boobar, the extra shim under the stem, and extra spacers in the stack and highrise stanchion clamp on greg's setup.

The rest over here.

That is really nice and good to see GM so proud to be South African. Even got a little flag on his bash guard. Now if he could have been on a Morewood it would have been fantastic.

not really a fan of the new SC frame, but it's greg's bike, and it's cos of him that we get the first race of the WC circuit next year. So he does our country awesomely proud. :D

atleast we can say that out cyclists perform without having to build a **** load of stadiums for a World Cup soccer event where our team didnt even make it to the quarters....just think how much we can perform if everyone gets funding like that!

Awesome bike! Keep it up Greg!

It's to get more grip on the front wheel and get you into a lower position. If you ever go to Nationals, check out Chris Nixon's setup. He has the top crown on his Boxxer fork on top of his stem! He comes from bmx and wants more weight over the front wheel fopr grip. Wider bars help with control too.

Minnaar is the Ultimate Saffa!! Custom SA Flag on whatever he can!! And he's made us proud as Saffa's!!

7: i'm with the whole wider and lower aspect, but it's not a panacea for all things DH and control related. Guys are going lower and flat for anything. it's silly. Greg's setup just proves that's it rider and course dependent. I went wider to get me naturally more over the front to prevent washouts. but once i hit the steeper stuff, it didnt make sense. At all. Super stacked headset and higher rise is where i'm headed. Screw the fashionistas :P

I wish you guys could start fitting your saddles horizontally

u think we deliberately set it the way it is? it's the geometry of the bike that causes it to be at that angle.

btw: howz your horizontal saddle working out for you?

touchy about the saddle comment there huh? wasn't meant to be taken that seriously, then again BMXers on the street also ride with their saddle like that and they have no funny frame angles or downhill only excuses.......

anyways I feel those new M9's from intense in F1 colours take the cake for best looking DH bike.......

Not touchy at all. I always get asked about why my saddles point up. I like the intense in work's trim. New colours are cool, but Cove had had those colours for a while now.
