I recently bought a Giant anthem 2007/2008. I had the bike for 2 months now but it still feels odd compared to my hardtail.

I like the Anthem but I get the feelling like i'm neglecting my Hardtail.

Hope i get used to the giant soon.

Switch it about every now and again, keeps you on your toes ;)

I disagree - sell your hard tail - its over - its time to move on. I know its hard, but every affair has to end, especially if you've married a Giant - you have a soft spot for your soft tail now, after all. It will be better that way....

So why even sell hardtails then? I say keep it for XC type riding and trails. Also for a ride around on the beachfront/to the shop?

I love my hardtails. They give you feedback when you ride and on long rides they make you love your full susser more. I ride the hardtail during the week, then race on the 100mil sus then eat up Jonkers and Tokai on the couch...i mean shova.

Ride both bikes and keep both. One day when you send one in for a service and the clowns take time over the weekend you will have a backup. Also I lend mine to mates to try get them into the sport. only problem is they SS now.

Sell both and get a single speed 29er

I switched from hardtail to dual and 3 months later swapped back. I prefer my hardtail. Will cross over when i reach 60years

I like the "feel" of my hardtail and the "smoothness" of the full suspension. Nice to have both though(if you can), thats why I would say keep it.

Didn't meen to offend, sure if you checked out the thread you would understand :)

No offense taken - Its the hub for goodness sake - So happy days :D

I saw the thread, I try too stay as partial as I can. I like to soak up advice and to question it at the same time;) Thats the only way to learn

True, normally I do to but the 500 32GI threads was getting a bit ridiculous. As stated in the opening post, I wasn't commenting on the product, never even used it, I was commenting on the people commenting on the product.

i kept the hardtail and very glad i did!

i love the ride, it keeps me awake. i love the geometry and the feedback. the frame is very old, so i'm seriously considering getting a new hardtail-frame.

bonus is that i always have spare parts / wheels / spare bike when one bike needs attention
